Multiness is an NES console emulator designed for Android devices, enabling users to experience classic games on the go. It offers both offline play and multiplayer options through LAN or online connections—which requires a login via Play Game Services without the need for third-party applications. Additionally, the app provides a seamless online multiplayer experience without complex network setup requirements.

• LAN, WiFi Direct, and online multiplayer modes; provides consistent performance with minimal de-syncing issues compared to traditional synchronization techniques. Note that gameplay quality may vary depending on network speed.

• An online private rooms feature is expected to be introduced soon.
• Text and voice chat capabilities during multiplayer sessions.
• Support for saving and loading game states, applicable only on the host's side during multiplayer play.

• Compatibility with both hardware controllers and virtual/on-screen/touch-based controllers.

• The emulator is powered by the Nestopia core, known for its accuracy among NES emulators.

Important Notes:

• The discontinuation of Play Game Services' multiplayer functions means that Multiness and Multiness GP share identical functionalities.
• Location permission is needed for WiFi Direct multiplayer mode; otherwise, players cannot connect.
• Voice recording permission is required for voice chat, which can be disabled in-game if undesired.
• No games are included with the app; users must supply their own ROMs by copying them to their device's SD card. Both .zip and .nes files are supported with automatic detection by the app.
• The second player in a multiplayer game does not need to have game ROMs on their device—the host is solely responsible for this.
• To minimize lag during multiplayer sessions, it is advised to position devices close together and near a router or access point. Opting for WiFi Direct when supported can also enhance connectivity.
• Playing over the Internet consumes a considerable amount of bandwidth, approximately 60-100 KB per second, requiring a minimum upload speed of around 60 KB/s (512 Kbps) on the host's end.
• If you experience significant lag, restarting routers or both devices may alleviate the issue.
• Certain routers may not support direct Internet multiplayer hosting due to firewall settings. In such cases, the app will attempt to utilize a relay server for data transfer between players, although this may result in limited bandwidth if heavily used. Users might receive a "Remote connection timeout or disconnected" message; switching roles may help establish a connection.
